Question about GoVideo Cinevision RV4000

"Hi Waiting" message

The player will not play now - the "Hi Waiting" message just keeps flashing. I have unplugged the unit many times and re-powered the unit; the same error persists. Does anyone know how to correct this error?

Paused a disc ,when i hit play, the play light came on but nothing happened. I cannot turn off the dvd play manually. it seems to be frozen.have chaned batteries

Try disconnecting the unit from any power source and waiting for at least 10 mins before restoring power. This should reset the units microprocessor so you can resume playing.

Electricity went out when it came back on the standby light (red) flashes cannot turn on -nothing works help

Try unpluging the unit from AC outlet, and waiting for at least 5 min before plugin in back in this will reset the unit to do a hard reset. If problem persists then it is possible you now have power supply problem.

Won't turn on.

"Player is getting power. (It's) making a faint sound and the output jack is flashing but shows nothing on the display"

So, it is obviously NOT 1, 2, or 3 above. It IS getting power.

The first thing I'd try is a re-boot, try unplugging the unit and waiting about

the "expert's" advice was about as useless as could possibly be- I had already tried all of his suggestions several times before even contacting fixya. what a freaking WASTE of $20.

The only thing left to try is unplug that piece of **** for, oh, say, a month, to let the capacitors discharge completely and hope that the error message goes away. If that doesn't work, the unit is going into the sh*t can.

My dvd always shows "system error" and won't play commercial copyright dvds, only recorded ones.

I had the same problem with my recorder except that it wouldnt play any discs at all.. I finally unplugged the recorder and left it unplugged for 16 hours. Now it is fine. I am not getting any error messages.

Try using 8x and lower DVDs and -R ones; try cleaning with CD cleaning disk and then try recording a few min again. If that doesn't help try unplugging and waiting about 30min then put in disk that was previously recorded and go to last item and play it to end (if 2hr long skip to last skip and then play until it finishes) - now try just recording a few min using the manual DVD record button and see if error comes up again - usually this unplugging somehow resets everything. Hope this helps ya'll.
