Cyberhome 1010A won't read disc

My Cyberhome ch-ldv 1010A dvd player won't read the disc. After putting the disc in, it spends just a bit and then stop showing a question mark (?) what can I do...

Clean the laser with a q tip and rubbing alcohol. That usually works with lasers that don't read. If this doesn't work ( be sure to let the alcohol dry and don't leave streaks) then I would either assume the laser isn't getting enough power or the laser is actually burned out.

This is a DVD Laser Optics dirty, please clean-it with a good cleaning cd kit, you find-it in a good electrics store. If continues send to a repair store, (if you afraid, to open the case), or change the DVD Laser kit.

lens is dirty ........clean the lens using the lens disk cleaner...........still problem continues the laser head is not picking up the disc...........need to replace laser assembly.......

The cyberhome no picture when playing a dvd on the ch-ldv 712

Sometimes portable DVD players allow you to switch to a secondary TV for playback. When this happens it disables the primary screen on the portable DVD player.

Thats usually the culprit as to why that happens.

If you have that feature on your portable DVD player you should check it out.
