Overloading your amp try just one sub hooked up and see what happens if it starts working do not bridge your subs use two channels and try again other wise you fried the circut board in the amp some where

Jbl a3001 goes into protect mode when bass hits. Wrkd then just stopped. Amazon replaced the amp with a new one, new wire, loc, rca, grnd locatn. No dice. Ideas?

Bad or shorted voice coil on sub maybe. If you have two subs try them one at a time to see if it goes into protect mode. Whatever sub does it is bad.

I have a power acoustik ibm12000d amp had it installed to weeks ago wired at one ohm to a 15inch acoustik p3 sub worked good for to weeks hit good and everything but now its cutting off when turned up I...

Sounds like an over current condition. Your sub may be the problem. Does it go into protect mode when it cuts out? remove the sub and turn up the volume and see if it cuts out when you keep increasing the volume. If not, then it may be that the sub shorts out when turned up too much, kicking the amp into protect mode. If it still cuts out, then it may be the amp. Try another sub if you have one or borrow one from a friend.

Why want my subwoofer play like it's supposed to? It barely plays

check your ohm load on that audiobahn sub some amps run at an bypass or ohm load and then kick off if its the sub itself is not a 2ohm stable or 4ohm stable

How do I fix the problem so they work again.?

A 1000 WATT AMP HAS PROBABLY GONE INTO PROTECTION MODE BECAUSE YOU ARE TRYING TO RUN 1600 WATT SUBS COMBINED

Random Protection mode.

Disconnect all speaker connections and rca cables. Leave power, ground and remote wires intact. Try turning on again. If you still have a protection light your amp is faulty. Hopefully you have warranty. Clipping means you have exceeded capacity. .A thumbs up would be greatly appreciated if this answer is helpful to you. random-protection-mode-lv2kkrmxrai4iihdvw4m3np2-1-0.jpg

My amp is protecting unessacarily when ran at 2 ohms

are you factoring the ohm rating from running them parallel?

2 x 2o subs parallel = 0.5 ohm (lowers ohm's)

2x 2oh subs series = 4 ohm

IT is posable that you are calculating the ohm rating fine, BUT some SUBS can reach lower ohm rating while hitting bass- i didnt know this till i had a rather insane sub that would dip to 1ohm while hitting hard bass causing my amp to go into protect mode.

Amp gets power but no sound

Hello, First of all with these new Alpine amps everithing adjustable just about is digital, as well as the internal workings of the amp to a point. If you bought this amp new then check your warranty or take it back where you purchased it if you can. Check that your amp is getting an input signal from your head unit. Check your head unit sub output settings, something could have gotten turned off or down. On this paticular amp if there is a problem internaly it would let you know or go into protection mode. You say your sub has ben tested and is good, check again. Hook another speaker up to the amp. Unhook that speaker and try, you never know. Like I said, if the amp is'nt going into protect mode and the digital display is'nt telling you any types of faults then it has to be the input signal. Make sure you are getting a signal. That has to be your problem otherwise amp would be in protect mode. Let me know what you find.
