Question about Soleus KFR-18 Air Conditioner
In the heat mode out door fan cut off
All of the kfr series have a indoor coil sensor that monitors the tube temperature. In the heating mode it will sense for high temp and cut off the outdoor fan to try to lower the indoor coil temp. The cut off temp is 129f, when the coil cools down the fan will cut in and start developing heat again. If the coil continues to get warmer it will shut off completely. The system is either overcharged or the coils and or filters are dirty. All Soleus units need both lines insulated seperately and not together because the metering device is in the outdoor unit. Have your tech calibrate the charge and make sure you clean your filters every 3 months. Removing the sensor will cause the indoor coil to get too hot and possibley start to melt your housing.
