I have had my phone for nearly 2 yrs n have never

i have had my phone for nearly 2 yrs n have never had any probs on fri eve my battery was dead so i charged it n all was fine battery normally lasts 3 days ish. saturday morning the battery was showing yellow as soon as i turned it on then it went straight to red i was at work at this time so i couldnt put it on charge when i took my phone out of my locker it was very hot so i switched it off then when i tried to turn it back on it wouldnt come back on so when i got home i put it on charge but nothing happens just a red light in the top left corner came on n stays on but no power to the phone n no charging symbol as normal has any 1got any soloutions to why this has happened or how it can be rectified!!
