Swivel lcd screen

I have a vivitar DVR 540 and when i turned it on it sudeenly had a blank white screen, to my knowlage it has not been dropped or damaged in anyway, im scared to tell my mum who brought this for me so i whould like to know if there is anyway to fix this problem ?

p.s. all other functions work fine and i do get an apsolute clear picture in one position of the swivel, but i cannot on the other 3

dam that suks for u i used alot of money on that camera
