I was wondering if you had a Wireless Router hooked up to your high-speed modem??? Without that you can't go wireless unless a neighbor will share their signal with you.

In order to make your desktop wireless, you will need to buy a wireless card for your computer. The wireless cards are available for PCI and USB ports for desktops in addition to PCMCIA ports for Laptopts in the market. I'd recommend to use a USB one and the PCI wireless card need to be connected to your motherboard whereas the USB one can be connected to any free USB port and you can easily plugin and plugout the same without having to open up the computer.
