I have the same problem. I was typing and then needed to correct one letter and when I tried typing again it would not type the correct letter. I'm not sure if the letter wheel is broken.

The typewriter just quit printing. I bought a new ribbon - so it is not the ribbon. It is like I touched the wrong key while I was typing and everything quit printing.

has the ribbon reached the end? take it out and turn the knob and see if the ribbon is turning. If not, it is either defective or at the end.
