Readjusting and reseting color...nothing helped. Love it set! Size fits in wall and none of the new ones fit!

I have a Sony 27" surround sound TV....BRX10. Its about 15 yrs old. All of a sudden the picture turned purple in hue. The 4 corners have a rainbow-like hue of colors that extents about 3 inches. The picture otherwise is GREAT!
I know its an old TV but it is in a built-in wall space that really doesnt allow an HDTV it fit there.
What is causing this and is it a big "number" to fix if I cant to it myself?
