Please specify how? Wired/ Wireless

I assume Wireless (Portable computer)
On any computer which is able to go online through the router:
Step 1) Go to Start=> Run=> CMD (options may change as per the Operating System)
Step 2) On the DOS Window => ipconfig (enter), get the Default Gateway:(192.168.1.1 -> Default Value)
Step 3) Open the Internet explorer and type these numbers in the address bar.
Step 4) User name and password screen pops up => enter 'admin' as the password (default value)
Step 5) On the Linksys Page => wireless => basic Wireless settings => Select manual => Change the name of the wireless network name (SSID) => Linksys (Case sensitive => Default value => Should be changed) [please make a note of the SSID]
Step 6) Goto =>wireless security (subtab) => If it says Disable, enable it. and select a alpha - numeric key (allowed letters 0-9, A-F) make a note of it and type in the Key 1.
Step7) Save Settings.

On the laptop
Step1) Start=> Control Panel => network Connection => Right click wireless network connection and select "view available wireless networks"
Step 2) Select the name of the wireless network SSID => Connect => Enter the Alpha-numeric key as the network key => Connect.

Step 3) validate if you can connect to the wireless internet.

Hello friend,
i guess that you are talking about wireless code, in this case you will need to connect the laptop to the router via Ethernet cable to configure it and then unplug the cable and use the wireless.
so you connect the ethernet cable between the laptop and one of the ports on the router from 1 to 4. then access to the router web interface which is usually 192.168.1.1. then go the wireless tab and name your wireless access point and put a password to secure your network. After that you can unplug your Ethernet cable and use the wireless on your laptop to connect your router wirelessly.
Best Regards,
