Problem for HP Officejet Pro L7580 All-In-One InkJet Printer

The scanner suddenly stopped working - the error

The scanner suddenly stopped working while I was scanning photos into my documents - the error message tells me to make sure it's connected and I believe it is. Can you help me please?

- I have tried to reload the drivers. Still nothing. I just uplugged as you said stillnothing I disconected and restarted pc still nothing. What else should I try!!! Thanks Sarah

- Yes it shows when uplugged it also shows when the cable is unplugged. This is a weird one. Thanks for your quick response. Sarah

- Going into the manual it suggested I do a diagnostic page whihc I did. It showed me nothing "BUT" for some strange reason after that the scan starting working again. Thanks for your help Sarah

try turning it off and on, if this doesnt help un plug cable and restart PC.
then plug cable back and and see if the PC will detect it then try again.
if the PC doesnt detect it then try different cable and if this doesnt help you will need to contact manufacturer.
