I bought my grandaughter a Logitech webcam with a headset for Xmas we cannot figure out were to plug the two leads on the headset in She already has speakers and wireless headphones. The instruction booklet does not mention the headset - very odd.
Hope you can help - thanks

Re: Logitech webcam headset

There should be places where you can plug the speakers/microphone. usually pink or green.

I am using a webcam and headset but I am getting

Are you hearing yourself back through the headset? If so the other person isn't wearing a headset and the sound from the speakers is going back through their mic. Ask them to put on a headset (even iPod earbuds will work) and the feedback should go away.

Logitech Webcam with separate headset/microphone. can hear but microphone does not work

I just solved this last night. You have to have pink lead designated as mic during the set up and use the drop down menu on the "make a test phone call" page to select the correct program. The instructions don't make this clear. Also, check that you have front panel or rear panel correctly selected.

Want model number of logitech webcam

The model number is on a tab on the webcam lead next to the USB plug.
Failing that, visit the Logitech website and identify your webcam from the photo gallery ( non current webcams on page 2 ) look for the link at bottom of page 1 "Still cant find your webcam",en?prodcrid=405
If you need software - click on the webcam picture to start the support for that model

Windows xp home does not have drivers for camera-do not have model #; it is just a logitech webcam

Logitech webcams have an ID label on the lead near the USB plug if this is missing you will have to identify your webcam from the logitech photo gallery - 2 pages - older models on page 2.
Once you have identified your camera, click on the photo to move into the download start up.
Download the latest software with the webcam disconnected.,en?prodcrid=405

Lose webcam connection in Skype when using a headset

Have you checked the recording settings in Windows and in Skype? Try changing the default recording device to specifically indicate the device that has your headset plugged. I think the webcam also has a mic and that should not be selected.

Other thing to check is if there is some kind of resource conflict between your USB controller and audio card (use Device Manager).

Logitech webcam with built-in microphone and notebook premium headset

dear fixya,

thank you for your e-mail. however, i decided not to use the headset anymore since my webcam has already built-in microphone. i think eventhough i will use the headset, the problem regarding the noise during conversation will not go away. i think think is really the part of on-line chatting.

thank you and more power to fixya team.
