Blue screen on my dell latitude d600 tells me its

Hello my friend,
The blue screen is very popular and it's usually happen when there is a file system deleted or a virus on your computer.
You may try to boot up your system in safe mode and then uninstall any software that you installed recently and restore also your computer to a date when it was working fine.
If this doesn't fix the issue, you can try the recovery system if enabled when you installed your system for the first time.
If it's not the case, the only way to get this computer working again is by formating your computer and installing windows again.

I have a dell latitude d600 working on windows 2000 prof.
Everything was working great until the other day whilst i was surfing the web suddenly it started acting arratic and my avg viral software started picking up programs trying to access my computer but i didnt allow any of them because i didnt reconise any. then all of a sudden my laptop just switched off and now every time i turn it on it gets half way through the windows 2000 loading screen then turns to the blue screen. Ive tryed loading the computer in safe mode and tbh every other mode my computer offers but everyone leads me back to the dreaded blue "STOP ERROR" screen. Ive seen on the internet ways of sorting it out but i cant even get as far as the desktop screen. Im no wizz with computers and just about know how to turn the thing on. Any step by step simple advise on how this could be resolved would be great. p.s. i havent tryed loading any new software on the laptop and have even unpluged all external plugins(only 1 being my wifi card) ........ many thanks chris

Sounds like its time to completely reformat and reload operating system and it will run like new again. Hope you hevent lost anything important as this can cost a lot to recover.........cheers
