Question about JBL OnTour Portable Music Box for iPod Computer Speakers

1 Answer

JBL onstage My onstage has no sound beyond the merest of whispers. Are the speakers blown, do you think? If so, can you recommend where to send it and/or if it's worth repairing?

One of the jbl creature speakers doesn't work

I had the same problem one time and it was a loose connection in the speaker. I will work on any computer but I stay away from anything else. :-) A buddy opened her up and fixed her for me. If it is new, think about taking it back to the store. Thank goodness the prices have come down so much that I am considering getting Bose instead and blasting myself onto the wall behind me. :-)

I can't find my drivers for my speakers ( speakers of platinum !jbl series) do you mayby now witch driver it is so i can download it from tha site because i have to download it from he site... i just...

Those speakers don't need drivers, they should just plug into your sound card, if you aren't getting sound it's probably a sound card problem.
Check on your computer manufacturer's website to download sound card drivers.

No sound is coming from the speaker itself although sound can be heard with a earphone inserted into the jack on te speaker

it sounds to me that you may have a blown speaker or speakers or that an internal wire inside your speaker box has come unplugged form your speaker if you are good at working on electronics i would try togo further into the problem and take the speakers apart or simply buy another set. they sell for extemely cheap at wal mart or even a dollar general

ok if these are the speakers im thinking of (have seen them on a pold HP pavilon computer, attached to the monitor) , than the speakers themselfs do not need drivers, as long as you have the sound card drivers your good to go

A whispering in my right speaker

If a fuse is blown the units will not work at all. This is the unit itself. If you have everything connected properly, the the amplifier package inside the speaker/sub is damaged. Return or replace. Nothing that you can really fix unless you are electronics savvy.

JBL Creature 2 Blowing Fuse

There will be a short somewhere in the power supply. If you replace the fuse it will blow again. You COULD try a larger ampage fuse, but any electrician would not recommend this!
