Your psp entered a stage called a brick it happens to alot of people for very different reasons let me just tell you what to do look up on google or somthing the pandoras battery look at it admire it then ask everyone you know if they have the pandoras battery this happened to me today i asked the friend about the pandoras battery he had it and used my psp came back from the dead!! so ask everyone you know about the pandoras battery!

remove the battery try switching it on with only the charger plugged in , if it works , then your battery is dead and you need to purchase a new one :)
Have you tried to remove the battery and put it back in and try to turn it on. Try removing the battery and putting the charger in and starting the PSP. If it starts, it might be the battery. If it doesn't, it's either the plugin for the charger or the PSP is just dead. If it does start with the charger, try putting the battery back in, if it charges awesome. If it doesn't the battery might be dead.

When you charge your PSP with the charger (USB/wall) does the power light turn to amber? If it does not, It's possible that your charger (USB/wall) is already broken. You may need to purchase a new one.
If it does, you may have either a loose power switch (which happens on my PSP Go) or you may need to have your unit checked with a qualified technician.

Try a different outlet in the wall, it might be the outlet. If it isn't
the outlet, maybe it's the power cord. Try to use someone else's PSP charger and see if it works. If it If it's not
that, then it's your PSP. If you had it since launch then it will cost $90 to get fixed.
You either have a bad battery, or a bad power supply that charges the unit (power cord). If you have a friend that also has a PSP, try swapping out the battery to see if that works, and or try another power cord to see if the charging indicator light comes on. I think that possibly your battery is dead and the power cord might be bad. You can find good deals for both the battery and cord on ebay. Good luck!
try the battery it may have the problem or i suspected that your charger is the real deal maybe its broken because you say t wont charge right ,or the connection between the battery and the psp so if u charge it it wont because the psp battery isn`t connected to th PSP thanks
