Hi I keep getting an "error" message when I put in a CD on my SONY CDX-R3300S car stereo. The error says "LineOut", what should I do? take it for repairs?...
Yep. Take it to the nearest Sony Repair facility, usually when they say that there in an internal problem with the audio in from the laser to the audio ic

Same problem here, i've got a pretty old cd filled with mp3s and it's plays fine, when i add more mp3s it still plays fine, but when i use a new TDK CD-R, it mostly gives the error message, ejecting the cd, and then turning of the radio, putting it back on and putting the cd back in sometimes work, ejecting the cd, turning of the car and turning on the car again and putting the cd back in has better response, but doesn't always do the trick, and sometimes it just plays without any problems... so either it has something to do with the new cd's, or with the way the new cd's are initilized by the burning software i suppose

What I've found out is that it only plays MP3's with a bitrate of up to 128bps. So If you put a CD with MP3's with a higher bitrate chances are it's going to give you the famous "error".
Try to burn you CD's at 128bps. That has worked for me.

My problem is when I insert a CD that has been burned within the last 6 months I recieved an error message, regardless of whether its contains 100 MP3's or just written normally (12-16 tracks). All my old CD's work and i dont think its down to the make because I have tried different manufacturers Philips CD-R's didn't work but ASDA did!! However whatever CD-R's i use now wont work, could it be down to the stereo unable to read the way software burns CD's now? Any ideas?
Thanks
Andy
