the drum will turn slowly, but at the spin cycle it just clicks - even when there are no clothes in there! We just replaced the motor, and the spin cycle worked for a couple of loads, but now we have the F 11 problem again during the spin cycle... What do we do???
I have a hotpoint top loading, mine would agitate but not spin or pump out. It just buzzed and did nothing. If I drained the water, it would spin slowly.
Before you do this, disconnect the power. I took the front panel off, use two drywall knives or putty knives and stick each one in at the top of the front panel just under the top. One in from the right and one from the left about 4" in on each side. You have to depress springed levers, once you do this, the front vertical panel will pull off at the top, hinged at bottom, then left out. The pump on mine was jammed with a nail, it could be a sock or something. The pump is connected to the drain hose from the back. Disconnect both hoses, GET READY for a lot of water, use a rubber hose to direct it to a drain. Remove the pump and see if the impeller spins freely. If not then something is either jamming it or you need a new pump. If the impeller spins freely then check both hoses to make sure they are clear. If all this checks out then you may have a different problem. My guess why the drums spins slowly is because it has a lot of water in it and the pump isn't working. Make sure you have power to the pump.
