Speaker for RCA F25422

I have an F25422 which I found out only uses one speaker - a Sam sung L020 8ohm 1.5W+. I would like to get another speaker like this. like it's about 2" x 4" or maybe 1.5" by 4". Cannot find misc speakers anywhere. Any ideas? How about a TV junk dealer who could smash one open and pull out the speaker?

Re: Speaker for RCA F25422

Thanks for the thought. I've already ordered one from some supply place. $7 + shipping. Funny about the 25422 - there are no inputs for anything except that coax for cable. Someone somewhere asked what the 2 inputs on the back are for - labeled F and S I think. What are those for? I've keeping ours because it still works well and has a great picture. I think once something blows tho' that'll be an expensive fix, we'll dump it. Email is actually petri.rick not perti.rick

How to add an Exterior Speaker to Sony KV-13M10

Welcome to FixYa!

To add an exterior speaker to Sony KV-13M10, you have to have an AMPLIFIER.
  • At the back of your TV you will be able to see 3 RCA output namely = VHF/UHF, Audio and Video.
  • Use an RCA cable and connect to the Audio output.
  • At the back of your amplifier, connect the other end of the RCA cable to an RCA input labeled Audio - L (left, usually in white color).
  • Your speaker should be connected to your amplifier labeled output or audio out. The connection type depends on the make and model of your amplifier. The speaker wires usually come in red and black color. red goes to red, black goes to white.

A simple diagram will look like this:

TV audio out -------------> amplifier audio in (left, white color) amplifier audio out (left, white color) -----------> speaker (black wire) amplifier audio out (right, red color) ------------> speaker (red wire)

Thank you for using FixYa.
Have a great day.

How do i get dish network to work on rca f25422 tv

Well, you have a couple options with this. You can use either coax cable, or RCA cables. If you use coax, you want to connect it on the receiver that says TV set out, and out the tv set on channel 3 or 4. If you use RCA cables, you want to connect these to the color coded connections on the back of the receiver labeled with a Green 1. The tv will need to be on channel 3 or 4, and a video in put, usually Video 1 or 2.

RCA F25422

The solder could be loose in the CRT board witch is at the end of the picture tube neck, before you take the back cover out try a simple test put your forearm in the face of the picture tube and the hair should stand with the tv on that will mean you do have high voltage going to the picture tube but if the hair in your forearm does not stand with static it means the picture tube is missing high voltage and then reason for that is not necessarely a loose conection but a bad component in the main board. If you not familiar with tv service be safe and call for assistance.
