Question about HP 920 Plain Paper Fax

1 Answer

Not Copying Hi There...I haven't used the machine in quite awhile...I turned it on and it wouldn't copy so I followed the directions to unplug the cord and also unplug it from the outlet and then restart it to go back to default settings. The machine turns on like it's ready...I think one time it said Auto and the next time it said Manual. I load the document to be copied and it says Document Loaded, then I press copy and nothing happens; I've tried copy start as well...nothing. :( I also checked the printer cartridge and shook it a bit, it seemed to have liquid still in it so I don't think that's the problem. Any ideas? Since this is a pretty old unit, I hate to take it in to have it serviced, but I don't want to buy another unit if there's something simple wrong with this one. Thanks in advance for your response! Happy New Year! :)

If it is an inkjet printer then the line that feeds the ink is dried up, may not be worth it, depending on how much you bought it for.

My vin powerdigital one copy cd duplicator displays R:X1W:X1 when commanded to COPY. From there no copying, no more display and no more command till you restart. Please help

Our duplicator at church did not come with directions. We used it for some time, them it came up with a display something like yours is now. Turns out there are two small buttons next to the "start copying" you can use to change the parameters, such as use a different drawer for the master disk, etc.) and someone pushed these a few times to try to get it to start copying. Needless to say, that is when I downloaded the directions and put a small piece of metal with tape over the setup buttons.

I hadnt used my machine in a while. I went to transfer from a VHS to DVD Loaded both - no problem After finishing the transfer the I couldnt get the DVD to eject Help please

Did you follow directions on how to transfer VHS to DVD ? When the dvd is finished copying it MUST!! finalize the copy. If you attempt to eject DVD while in FINALIZING it gets stuck. Try and unplug the power for about 1/2 hour. plug in and eject. p.s. read the manual....the machine is complicated!!

Has line down center of page when using ADFfor copying

Hi There,

There is a piece of glass that the machine uses to scan the page. it's like a 1/2 in wide, and the width of the paper.

This glass is dirty with a spec of toner or white out on it.

Clean this glass very good. you may have to use a razor blade, but be very careful not to cut the plastic around the glass or it will jam.

Copier not coping documents placed on the copier. In addition, when coping from the computer it only copies part of the document.

If you are able to print form the computer.
Then follow the following steps:
Take out both the cartridges from the printer and unplug the power cable from the All-In-One and the wall outlet.
Leave the power cord unplugged for at least 1Mins time.
Connect the power cable directly to a wall outlet without a surg protector.
And before connecting the power cable back to the All-In-One press and hold the # and No 6 button and connect the power cord do not release the keys untill you see a message as Semiful reset.
And if the unit is turned Off then release the keys and turn the power on and try copying or printing.

Good Luck

Scanner quit working

the scanner works with the windows built in driver. Uninstall the hole mfc suite and reinstall after restart. This is the fix for the software. You can check the hardware simply by copying a page. If you can copy there is no hardware prob. Post here again if it does not work and let me know your windows version, too, please.
