Question about Mitsubishi VS-45603 45" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

Mitsubishi vs45607 dead

When I press power only a click, and nothing more thank. The TV was working fine. I did not power it on for about 5 days. Upon attempting to power it on it would not power on. The green indicator light will light for about 3 seconds and then power off. I have unplugged the power cord in hopes of resetting the TV. This did not help. What could be the issue? Furthermore, if the issue is repairable, is it worth it at this time to repair a 9 year old TV.

Check for leaky D980 PART # 264P045040. You also can try to do a self test to get the error codes, search here or on

Mitsubishi 65 rear works fine yellow light starts blinking tv shuts off, when light stops can hit power and it could work fot 10 min or the next 4/5 days

All you need to know is that your power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like, to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Hope this help in solving the problem, Take care.....

Mitsubishi WD-52525 was working fine and now it will not turn on

This is just a shot - but it worked with my Sony (same problem).
Pressed remote power on button AND held Power button on TV on at the same time.

Set clicked 4 or 5 times and then came on....

Other, most have a (VERY small) reset switch on the rear - near where the power cord enters the TV... Use a flashlight and a mirror to locate it on your set....

TV will turn on, but not respond

Good Day, mistymiles;

Try this before calling a factory authorized service center:

Press " menu 2 > 4 > 7 > 0 > enter", on remote. After settings have been initialized > press the system reset button on the front, once the LED stops blinking > reprogram settings and tuner channels (if not using box). IF NOT fixed call for service (get estimate before repair) and suspect repair of DM PCB (printed circuit board).

Good Luck, big IRISH.

un plug the set and use a flashlight and look for evidence of the CRts leaking on the chassis this is a common fault with that model. It will cause a dead set.

This denotes a problem in the HV power supply and the shutdown circuit shutting down the Tv to prevent damage from a component that is drawing too much current. I would suggest that you have a repair person look at your TV and give you an estimate.
