hi,

Is your phone still works even w/o display?

there are several reasons why display disapprears.

1) probably your phone experience accidental impact and that causes lcd flex connector to get loose and causes no display.
2) defective or damaged flex connector.
3) defective lcd or open line connection to lcd.

You can fix it yourself if the problem is on no. 1 (loose connector). open your phone slowly (since delicate parts inside and remember its part placements) using screws driver and locate the lcd flex connector (usually behind the LCD) that connects the lcd to the main board. remove it slowly not to damage it and look for abnormalities, if none, then put it back securely and assemble your unit. then give it a try...

for problem 2 and 3. You can order flex or lcd at ebay and change it yourself. be sure it is the right type for your unit. for dismantling your unit be sure to remember the parts, how they are installed and how to put it back. Be patient and this requires a lot of time to disassemble.

Good Luck!

Don't forget to rate me OK! Thanks...
Hope i helped you...

bst rgrds,

John

My acer aspire fell. when i tried to open it. there is light on the power button but there is no picture on the screen. is there still a chance for my acer aspire notebook to be revived?

There is a chance of the LCD going bad.. If you have any external monitor try to swap the display on a external monitor.. If it woks well then the LCD has gone bad... If it doest work on that as well there might be more parts that have gone bad.. Contact the computer manufacture to get it fixed...

Display stopped showing anything

As it the result of a fall, it is the LCD bone or the display IC gone. LCD is replaceable but a gone IC means that the phone has to be scrapped because it is not economic to repair it.

Screen So Bright I Can Barely See Anything...

Unfortunately the problem is the monitor has gone bad, more specifically and likely is the backlight which is used to light up the monitor. You could fix it by replacing the LCD, but you can get monitors cheaper than a replacement LCD so it wouldn't be very cost effective to do so.

Thanks and please take a moment to rate as fixya.

Dell Laditude monitor stopped working.

yes, it sounds like somehow the back light behind the LCD has gone out, cheaper to replace the whole LCD then to replace the light itself, but do connect a desktop monitor to it before you go out and buy one, if it works fine then you know its the lcd, if it does not work then it may be the internal video card.
