Hi,
It's the thermostat that's failed.
You'll need to buy a replacement unit, then fit it into the fridge.
If you can do this yourself, by all means get on with it.
If you can't do this yourself, you'll need to pay an engineer to do this for you,
or let everything freeze.?
best of luck
Try to google the manufacturer and model number, sometimes the manufacturer has a downloadable manual online. Otherwise, you may have to contact Danby to order one.
I also just brought home a used Danby Silhouette 166-bottle wine fridge and it is not cooling. Did you have someone come look at yours and did you get it fixed?
clean coils front and back....clean drain oil fan motor...take cover off relay...clean plugs and pins( from oxide)...if it starts hard get a har d start kit for compressor
check grease trap [plastic] and strainer on pump with m/c off.you have to take off side and front panels to do this.disconnect electrical power first.!
Called Danby customer service. Requested repleacement part of lower fan unit. Located at bottom right on back of unit. Part was $6.68 plus shipping. Less than $10 total. At my door in 3 days. Plug and play piece that was easy to change. A very cheap fix and I hate to think what a service call would have been. Danby ph # is 800-263-2629.,
Check the fitting where you connect the drain hose to. It may have a plastic seal that must be cleared out in order to use the hose drain. The plastic seal can be easily punched out.
