Easynote mv35-202 locked at f2 screen

H packard bell easynote mv35 laptop turns on and freezes at the f2 f8 screen (the bios acces screen) , readsboot cd dvd etc (whirs around) but nothing happens what so ever. please help

    cannot get past f2/f8 screen which asks for boot password.all attemts to enter passwords that i know fail saying password strings do not match?

You have to set the hard drive first if there is any one detected if not there is bad hard drive and you have to replace it

Easynote will not go past packard bell screen

You may need BIOS update. Check your CMOS time at bios page.
If time is wrong, set it up and try again. If this is solved the problem, change the CMOS battery.

You could search the internet for Bios Master passwords. Other than that, just pull the ac power, main battery and cmos battery and let the system drain.

If its a Windows password, then respond back for more instructions.

Packard Bell Easynote M5255 - Will not boot up

option f2, go into bios setup and see if the hard drive is listed or detected. Auto detect hard drive save and exit. System will reboot if the same error occurs then the hard drive master boot record is probably corrupt or the hard drive has totally failed.
