Question about Palm Treo 750 Smartphone
PLEASE HELP! I am looking to replace my Palm Treo 750 electronic keyboard because my Palm "accidently" feel in the water and short circuited the Q,A, and Z keys. All other keys work just fine. The problem that I am having is that I can't find the replacement part anywhere. I have checked with Palm and they don't sell individual parts. I have to send it to them to repair and it will cost over $200.00. All otther sites only have upto the 700 series but not the 750 series. Do you all know where I can find the replacement part so I can buy it and get on with my life?
Any help would be great!!
Same thing happened to mine 750. I took it apart after watching it done on UTube. I then looked at the connections on the keypad.. they should be circular - cooper looking and CLEAN. If you see dirt/grim/ on these connections, your character won't be displayed on the screen because the connection is lost. Since I dropped mine in water, i had some substance on the contacts. I took a very small amount of alcohol and put it on a Qtip. I then clean all the connections that were dirty and then wiped it with the dry side of the Qtip.
My keyboard works now!!
(Usually, an electronic device dropped in water will work properly after the circuit is completely dry.)
This won't help you if you dropped your device.. you may have caused internal damage.
