i've tried online and the reply i recieved"compatibility issue between usb mass storage device and windows vista", it also states"ali corporation, the company that made the usb m.s.d. has imformed microsoftthat they do not expect to offer updates to fix this problem. can you help me?

i have the same issue with my alba mp3 which had worked prev on vista till i ran updates

when i reinstalled my laptop i connected my mp3 player to it straight away and it installed the drivers for it and works fine now.

i think this problem may be due possibly to another application or unecessary vista updates ... i only ever install important ones now and not recommended.
