Lengthen my ring time

I want my V3 to ring for longer. I can never get to it before it clicks into messagebank. I have tried using long ringtones but it still clicks to messagebank early. Can anyone tell me the steps to make the phone ring longer? Thanks

Re: lengthen my ring time

Hello you need to go into your settings then click on divert, it will say your settings are on divert:if unavailable thats why your phone call cuts off if you havent answerd it in a certain amount of time. So just turn divert off completely and your fone will ring longer

Contact your carrier they can extend the rings before forwarding to voicemail.

How can i make the phone ring for longer what ever ringtone i use personal or other wise it only rings for a short while. i can not find any thing in the settings to lengthen the length of time it rings

You have to enter this code: **61*07973100123*11* enter the time you want it to ring (maximum is 25 seconds, so just put 25) followed by # Then press the green call button as if you're making a call. It should then send a message saying 'divert updated'.

Ring problem

I suggest that you download ringtones using a computer and using the mobile phones usb cable, transfer the downloaded ringtone to the mobile phone. It is much easier.

Ringing time

your phone accepts downloaded audios for ringtons, if you want a long ringtone, you may set a whole song to be your ringtone, or perhaps a long ring ring sound.

or if you only want your regular tones to be longer, try to set the ringer to "ASCENDING"

Can only use 1 ringtone at a time on my Motorola v3.

Are your contacts off the SIM? You cannot assign a ringtone to a SIM contact that is different than your general ringtone. If it is a SIM contact save it to your phone then you should be able to assign a distinct ringtone.

Problem with the number of rings

Remove the voicemail or extend ring time
don.t know is this code works world wide but you can try otherwise ask the provider to lengthen the ring time to 30 secs
then enter country code IE 61 for australia
* then vmail number IE 321 for optus
so your code should look something like this
then hit call.
remember the 61 and the 321 will vary on country and provider

Cannot delete ringtones

HI Below is the step by step method of how to delete your ringtones in your Motorola V3: Here is an easier way to delete the ringtones without much hassle. 1) Upload 1 mp3 rintone to your phone via MPT 2) Set ALL ringtones msg, alert etc, absolutely everything for all styles (obviously excl. silent & vibe) to the uploaded MP3 3) switch your phone off, then on again. This will update the .db files. 4) Using P2K, delete all the rintones, except for the MP3 that you uploaded, do not delete the .db files. Also, do not delete the .bas files as these are the base files for Motomixer. Set all reminders to OFF. do not EVER delete a ringtone that is currently in use by the phone. If you delete it while it is active, You will NOT be able to get into that particular tone setting. 5) Switch your phone off, then on again.
