Missing video module

Is there a way to input DVD video into a Proxima DX2 Ultralite DX2 projector without the video module that attaches to the back?

I bought a used one and the module was missing.

Re: missing video module

You'll need an adapter. dvi-svid or a dvi-vga and a vga-svid.

My computer is not connecting to the projector, how do I resolve this issue?

Replace the cable with a new one---brand new. reflash the software. if that don't work, it's the main board.

I have a green tint on my Proxima DP5900. The menus seem to maintain the proper grey color along with have red borders around things that are supposed to be red. S-Video, VGA and all other video inputs...

it's the input board. if it was anything in the optical engine, the menu would be discolored as well. try resetting all the settings to factory default. if that doesn't work, see if there are any loose cables or loose solder joints inside. if all that is good, then you'll have to replace the board. now the bad news: proxima has no parts for that model. sorry.

I have hooked up the input jacks but the screen only shows the menu but no picture of channels

what are you hooking into it? there's no tuner in this unit. if it's just straight video, reset the settings in the menu to factory default and select the video input.

My proxima dx2 turns off by itself ~5 minutes after it is turned on. Why

try resetting to factory default. does the fan and light turn off at the same time? you have a power supply problem. if the fans stay on when the lamp is off, you need to clean the dust out of your projector because it's overheating. dust keeps in the heat that the projector is trying to expell. blow it out with canned air. if it still does that, replace the lamp.
