Garmin Nuvi 350 Traffic Receiver connection

How do I plug a traffic receiver into my Garmin Nuvi 350? It has 1 mini usb i/p and if I plug the traffic receiver in it says that it has to have mains (plug in) power. If I plug in the power (thro the mini usb) then I can't plug in the traffic receiver! Catch 22!!!

You have to power the unit via the mount by either using the cigar charger in the car or snap off the mount from the ball and socket and power it via the mains adapter.
