I want to save my Picasa2 program and its photos content into trekstor 160 GB datastation I just bought today. Can you please describe to me the way to do it as applying what is written in the small booklet does not work. Thanks in advance.
Hi cleverclocks, the 1st thing to do is connect your trekstor to your pc.you will find the usb on your back of your pc or on the front door itself.next thing is to connect to the powersupply n whn u on it,it shows up on your pc as new device found and you will find your drive in my computer.its that easy now you can save your files in your new harddisk.have a nice time.

Dropping a drive can be catastophic but usually isn't.
I suspect you may get lucky and find out it's just some of the circuitry in the trekstor shell that is damaged.
Take the Trekstor unit to your nearest PC shop and ask the technicians there to remove the Hard Drive and put it in a new enclosure to test it. If it works in the new enclosure, buy the enclosure and your done. If it doesn't work in the new enclosure then you may be suffering from worse issues that will require the help of a pro.
Either way let me know how you make out, if you need a pro for the next step, reply back with you location(Country, State, City) and I will refer you to the closest facility who can assist you.
