Pictures are grainy - they had been nice and clear but even when you are looking at the display before you take the picture it has a grainy quality to it.

Hi,
    This problem is related to the CCD imager. When CCD Imager start malfunction the image in LCD shows like that as you said. The good news is that CCD IMAGER is in free replacement according to th policy of the company.Contact any SONY SERVICE CENTRE nearby for free replacement of CCD IMAGER.
