Problem for Hitachi UltraVision CineForm 55VG825 55 in. HDTV...
The audio in Hitachi 62 in rear projection tv was
the audio in Hitachi 62 in rear projection tv was intermittent and now it gone completely, I just replaced the Convergence chips because it had the 3D color separation ,i was able to fix that problem , now i need audio

- yes, a i was running external surround sound because the speakers were not working . the audio was repaired about 5years ago under warranty and now nothing .Best Solution

Model number 55VG825 IS NOT 62 INCH SET, IT IS 55 INCH DLP.
WHAT IS ACTUAL MODEL NUMBER OF YOUR TV?
I can give more information if you give me correct model number---if convergence is now working, it has nothing to do with sound unless you created the problem when you repaired it.
The more info you give me the better I can help you.

Usually with this set sound will be intermittant--saw new ones with the board bad----I presume you have checked in the menu and the speakers are not turned off etc-----
This board feeds all the audio--external jacks and inside the set as well--about 180 for a rebuild--you had no audio problems at all before the repair?

- IT makes sense--a lot of these sets had a surround sound board---if it has it----from the back of the set it will be on the left side wall of the set--all kinds of problems---board is no longer available and the only way to get one is send the one in the set in for rebuild---PTS ELECTRONICSUsually with this set sound will be intermittant--saw new ones with the board bad----I presume you have checked in the menu and the speakers are not turned off etc-----
