Question about Philips DVDR75 DVD Recorder

1 Answer

Philips dvdr 75

Hi, there everyone, I have a problem with our dvdr75..this machine since bought has had about one months usage and has never been used for recording yet....I was sent a firmware update from philips on disk, this was because it would not play certain new dvds.i.e. resident evil...the firmware update went in o.k....and for a short while everything was fine.
Now all I get when the machine is switched on is a red ring light on the record other lights appear on the unit..resetting from the mains does nothing...I do hope someone may be able to help me, thanks very much...Edmund.

Re: philips dvdr 75

Hey there Dante471, you can roll back the driver to it's original setting before the update. Control panel / Administrative tools / computer management / device manager / your dvd drive / driver / roll back driver. I suggest you shut down all other applications, and follow procedure with a restart. If further details are required or you need elaboration on method, let me know. Good Luck!

Have a DVDR 3460 / 97 model of Philips . Have yet to commission same . Am unable to record from audio cassettes to the DVDR disc although the local Philips service agency assured me that same was possible...

There are a number of different RW DVDs out there and your problem could be one of the following:-

That you are not following the instructions

That the discs you arer using are not the correct ones(usually they have a leter or a number on the disc that marks the diference between diferent discs from different manufacturers) I would suggest buying the Phillips discs then that cancels that problem.

That the leads you are using are incorrect or faulty.
OR lastly

A fault on the machine.

The last option is that you physically go to either where you bought it or the philipps centre and ask them to show you how to do it. You paid for it so you deserve the service.

Code for remote control of philips DVDR 3360D Hard disk / DVD Recorder

Also need to know what is the make and model of the universal remote you are using. Codes vary from one to the next.

If by chance your remote is Philips, the code for Philips DVDR's is one of the following:
0599, 0699, 1211

I have a Philips URC US2-PH5DSS and I use the code 0599 to control my Philips 3355 DVDR.
