I have the same problem the water gets to the connection at the door hinge but not up the door to the dispencer. I have tried to blow air through but the line is completely closed off. I think I may try to de-frost the freezer and see if the line clears up.

You may have an issue with one or more of the following:

* icemaker
* dispenser actuator
* ice chute door assembly
* ice dispenser solenoid (if the solenoid is stuck in an open position, the ice chute door/flap would remain open allowing cold air to escape).

Water dispenser does not work on my lg refrigerator. Water only trickles out a little. Ice maker isn't working either.

You can disconnect the line under the unit before it goes into the door at the bottom hinge. Push the dispenser button and see if it comes out there. If it does leave the door open till it thaws. Covering the opening with a blanket will prevent the loss of cold in the freezer.
disconnect the line to the water dispenser at the water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in and try the dispenser. if you hear the valve work but water doesn't come out, the valve is bad. If you don't hear the valve, the dispenser switch is bad. GE makes a heater that will prevent this from happing again. The part number for this heater is WR49X10173.

No water, no ice-LG LFD21860ST

Sound like a water supply problem, as both get water from the same source. Both valves are connected to the water line that supplies water to the frig, in the back, bottom, behind the cardboard cover. Make sure the water valve is on for that line. The noises indicate thew valves are probably working, but are not getting any water.

LG fridge freezer GR-L207QVJA. The ice dispenser gives a choice of crushed ice or ice cubes, but has stopped dispensing ice cubes and gives crushed ice on both settings.

You have a solenoid switch which switches the dispenser back and forth from crushed to cube. It could be stuck or not working or the parts connecting it could be disconnected or broken. You will have to observe to see if any parts are moving and if any noise is coming from the solenoid

I want to remove the water dispenser from my LG Fridge GR-642AP

You must turn the water off, essentially disconnecting the refrigerator,(just to be safe as i am not there to do it for you),then you will be able to take it apart. remember to purge the water lines of air when reconnecting them.

Water dispenser lg gr-602tvpf

the water line is froze.. I took a hair dryer and applied it directly to the dispenser for about 10 minutes. I then held down the buttton for approximately 30 seconds and the water began to drip extremely slowly then faster until a small chunk of ice shot out of the dispenser. I believe the reason this happened was that I the temp of my freezer set lower than the fatory setting.

Hot areas around doors on LG fridge

This is usually caused by a dirty condenser coil or a stalled condenser fan.
Remove the cover from the rear of the fridge and see if the fan is running. If not, make sure nothing is stuck in the blades keeping it from turning. If it turns freely you probably need a new fan motor but you would need to check the voltage to be sure.
Post back if you have any questions.
