I'm not familiar with what the exact name of this part is but it is the first screen you see or the outside screen. Mine is damaged and I'm having a very difficult time locating another one.

I have a Sony kp-57wv600 wide screen projection TV and I have this same problem. The protective screen (aka screen protector) has been scratched. I am trying to figure out if it can be removed and I could get a generic one, or find a part number that I can order a new one and have it put on. Please help!
