my kenmore is heating up but will not maintain the heat throughout the entire cycle. I have cleaned the dryer itself of all lint and also all tubing leading to the exterior of my house. any help would be great

Check your igniter coil. It sounds like this part could be going bad. Another possibility is that the thermostat is defective. Some dryers have more than one thermostat.

Yet another possibility is that your thermal fuse is faulty.
