Question about Nikon D40x Digital Camera
I noticed a shadow/spot on my camera monitor. I cleaned all the parts on the camera (lens, mirror etc). and it is still there. I have seen dust before and it does not look similar. It looks like a light grey round spot. What could it be?
Does it appear on the photos if you look at them on a computer or print them out, and does the spot remain when you're using the menu?
If it's there all the time (on menus as well) it would suggest part of the display is starting to fail.
Also, have you done the shutter hold-up so you can check behind the mirror just in case it's something on the sensor (assuming it's not just the LCD that's failing)?
