- I already did that, but the problem with it, is acer does not have a driver ready for download for: PCI\VEN_1524&DEV_0551&SUBSYS_009F1025&REV_01 this represent the USB driver for it, I even try to look for it, it seems it goes with the recovery disc acer 5100 which I don't have, can you please help me with this driver

Download the drivers from the Acer WEB site Make sure you select the model of your laptop and the XP or Vista version of the drivers you that require matches the Windows version that is installed on your laptop. Use this link to get to the Acer support: -
