I selected widescreen instead of regular screen and now it doesnt have a picture

- Power on Wii, give it a few seconds to boot
- Hold DOWN on the directional pad of the Wii remote
- While holding DOWN, press the RESET button on the Wii

This should reset your video settings while leaving the rest of your settings intact.

Best of luck

Yes, hold the power button down until you hear two beeps it may have to come on go off and come back on again before you hear two beeps so just hold the power button down until you hear those beeps release the power button and a settings menu should pop up. Hope this helps.

PS3 start-up. ''Invalid Format'' presented on screen. Can hear sound but no picture. TV is LG Plasma Model # 60PY3D

turn off the ps3. when you turn it back on by the console hold the button down until you hear a beep, keep holding it down until you hear a second beep, this will reset the format back to normal, if you have hdmi or anything else you can change it then from your video settings menu.

Wii image gone

try connecting to a tv that supports 60hz. But you should read up on this stuff before you do anything like that again. Understand , understand? alright! but do not do anything like that again!

Restore factory settings

To reset back to the 50 Mhz frequency on a Wii you press reset on the Wii and the down direction button/rocker on the wii remote. It works - I just did it!

Wii black screen

The following fix should help users who do have problems with some virtual console games for the Nintendo Wii that display only a black screen after starting them while the sound remains normal. This does not work in all occasions but should work if you get the Wii menu when you press Home and works only for games that received an update for the interlaced mode.
Try out the following to see if this fixes the issue. Start the game normally until you see the black screen. Connect the Nunchuck to the Wiimote and press Home to see the menu options. Now press A + 2 + Z together which should result in a short “ping-like” sound.
This should have activated the interlaced mode. Leave the menu and you should see the normal game screen and not the black screen anymore. To change the mode again press A + 1 + Z using the same method as above
