How do you get inside the drum of a whirlpool calypso washer. I have an earring stuck under the hub of washer.....

Its not easy... do you need to take the steel basket out or just the plastic wash plate? The wash plate is easy enough just pop the center cone up and out by depressing three screwdiver slots around seam. Then some 3/8" bolts secure wash plate. You are suposed to replace some orings every time you remove plate.
