Is there any way to remove the excess lint after a drying cycle? Whenever I wash and dry my clothes, they always come out covered in lint? Is there a contraption that I need to empty to avoid this?

Hi there. In some cases if your dryer vent tube is bunched up behind the dryer and not extended properly or if vent tube is running up the wall to be vented to the outside it will cause water to build up in dryer vent tube. Make sure your flexible dryer tubing is not full of water or clogged with lint and make sure if you have an extended piece that goes to outside ventilation that that is not clogged with lint as well. Hope this helps you with your drying issues.

check the exhaust tube externally and internally for excess lint build-up on the sides. You may not have the vent obstructed, but you may have the venting restricted. Clean out lint if there is excess. It may need a good scraping/ brushing to help your machine breathe. Just an extra thought.
The amount of creasing you will get is directly related to the speed you select for the final spin dry cycle and the spin after the first wash cycle which occurs prior to the rinse cycle. The higher the speed and the longer it goes for the more the clothes will crease.
Experiment with different spin speeds on your machine for clothing that is subject to the creasing problem. Also do not put too many items in the machine for a wash as many people do as this will contribute to creasing. Always under load your machine for every wash cycle.
Spin drying is a compromise between creasing and maximum water removal. If you want less creasing you will need to select a more gentle spin dry speed but you will also have the clothes coming out of the machine with a higher water content and they will take a bit longer to dry. The spin time on the program may also be shorter.
In my own machines I use a gentle wash and spin cycle for all clothing that I don't want heavily creased. Running it on a wash cycle with a high and longer spin speed when the machine is spinning the clothes after the initial wash, and then again after the final rinse, will thoroughly crease the clothes every time.
Also bear in mind that different fabrics that are suitable for machine washing will perform differently and some are just too subject to creasing even if you use the most gentle wash, rinse and spin cycle. Hence you can take 2 different 100% cotton fabrics out of a machine and hang them to dry and one will be almost crease free and the other will be thoroughly creased. With these fabrics that are just very subject to wash creasing, it is better to hand wash and rinse them. Then after rinsing drip dry them or put them in the machine and spin them for 1 -2 minutes maximum just to get some of the water out and hang dry them.
Dryer lint not only presents a problem by cluttering up your clothes with white specks, but it can also lead to a dryer fire. While it is impossible to completely eliminate dryer lint, you can take action to drastically reduce lint and the potential problems that come along with excess dryer lint. If your clothes take more than one cycle to dry, you see no lint on the lint screen, the clothes are very hot after drying or you find excess lint on the clothes after drying, you probably have a problem with accumulation of dryer lint in the dryer vent. Use a dryer vent cleaning brush and clean the dryer vent, or hire a professional to clean the exhaust vent behind your dryer. If your dryer vent is clogged, it will create excess dust in the dryer and on the clothes. The excess lint can eventually catch on fire given the heat load of the dryer.
If there is no heat at all then the heater or the temp sensor or the thermal fuses are defective and need replacing. Also check that the lint filter is clear of debris and lint. Rinse it if necessary in some mild washing up liquid in warm water and dry thoroughly. Check that the air outlet hose is clear if you have one fitted. Check that the condenser is empty of water and the case is free from dust and lint. Vacuum / brush or wash the outside of the collector in washing up liquid and warm water and dry.
You may not be getting sufficient air flow--remove the lint filter and wash it with detergent and hot water. Also clean excessive lint out of the air vents (under the filter too). Don't use 'perm press' if you want things absolutely dry. Remove and hang up before they cool. 'Damp dry' really means 'don't dry' I guess!
Have suffered the same problem. Suggest you remove back (after turning off electrical supply) and look at the water outlet pipe - you may have a sock or two in this - remember to reattach outlet and secure in position.
