The display panel also read malfunction
temperature failed, besides the fault 02
display. Now the washer has power but
    it will not turn on.

  • athena2 Jan 02, 2008

No. It is older than that. We bought the
house with the washer and dryer in it. I think it is about 7 years old.

  • athena2 Jan 02, 2008

there is no program contol knob that says drain. It also apppears there is no
water in the machine. On the front
panel it says W660 Quattro, just to be
sure we are talking about the same model.
    thanks, any other ideas??

  • athena2 Jan 02, 2008

That's it. I am sorry about the incorrect
model number. It is the W660.

Fault code 2 indicates "Water level too high "

Please look for the following causes:

· Plugged/Bad water pump
· Faulty water valve

If you are not able to check these, it may be necessary to call for a technician. Always be careful of electricity!

IF this item is less than 3 years old, it carries a FULL WARRANTY--Parts and Labor. Is that the case for you?

Please also try to drain the machine. This may be able to happen by turning the Program Control Knob to DRAIN, then Press START, the water should drain shortly thereafter.

Are you able to open the door?

  • Brian Berndt
    Brian Berndt Jan 02, 2008

My next suggestion is to turn off the Power, wait then turn On the power. Then please open the door and be sure that the items are not unbalanced (probably not the problem, but just to be sure). Then please try to select a wash cycle different from the one that you were using. Try one with a low temp wash such as Handwash.

I am afraid that your wash cycle may not advance because the water is not getting hot enough. This will probably require a service call, or maybe a late Christmas Present (a new washer) for you!

Whirlpool duette washer stops during cycle beeps and displays error code F

The f should be followed by a digit or two that indicate a particular fault code. A mid cycle stop with a fault code might be because of a long drain time due to a
Faulty drain pump or clogged drain filter but without the entire fault code it’s difficult to give an exact answer.

My Fisher and Paykel IW810AU has stopped mid wash full of water and just beeps constantly and flashes message I need Service Fault 105. Have turned it on and off at the wall with no change. Please help.

Hi, the faults 105 is reported when the Display Module detects an error in the communications between the Display Module and the Motor Control Module.

The primary source of the problem is the Pump and you have to measure resistance of pump. If resistance is less than 33 ohms, replace pump.

Don't know the model of your washing machine but, inside the machine's cabinet is a service manual that will give you a list of definitions of faults. Reply back to this post if the fault is something you are not familiar with.

    E20 fault display

E20 is a fault either in the filter/pump or drain.
The water must be drained thru. the little hose by filter or get machine to back door and undo filter plug and drain onto back step its quicker. With filter out see if any blockages, shine torch up in filter hole turn to spin/drain and see if pump blade spins if not then get long screwdriver and turn blade to free if no joy pump has to come out to free, hopefully this will work and refit plug and check for leaks. Then try again.

    Good luck.
