Re: my tv stalls on turn on

So the set finally produces a picture? symptoms like you describe tend to point to a intermtant failure of a component or more like impending failure of a component. Does the set shut down when you finally get it to show a picture? This set has a processor that stores errors in it. The first option is to read those errors. This set will shut down for many safety reasons.

Timer light is flashing but tv wont turn on!

When the timer light stoped flashing the remote control would not turn on the TV. The next time the light quit flashing I held the power button in on the TV for about 5 seconds and it came on and has had no problems since then with the remote or the local TV power button.

Good Day, hectic 411;

Most TV's have a display button on the remote, try pushing said button. Try resetting TV or cabl;e/sat box for 3 to 5 minutes.
To reset unplug the device from the wall ac outlet, like rebooting your frozen computer.

I can give you a generic answer:

Look on the remote and see if there are buttons or a switch marked SAT/TV/DVD, or something like that. Make sure it is in the TV mode.
