Pioneer TS-E6996 polarity?

I have pioneer TS-E6996 speakers i have fitted them but the connections on the speakers themselves do not have + or - on them. they are different sizes and the wires going into the speaker are different colours (black & black and white). Would you be able to tell me which one is positive and which one is negative!?!?

I have a pair of pioneer ts A-6987 connected through an amplifier and pioneer cd player..i noticed today that the left speaker's cone woofer stopped working whereas the its producing voice but if very low...

double check the ratings on the speakers and amp. speakers that size don't usually require an amp. compare the wattage and resistance numbers, if you haven't fried an amp, you may have blown a speaker. another possibility is a short in the channel. check wiring connections.

Connection Pioneer TS-W65A

you are probably looking at a dual voice coil subwoofer. This means you have many options of wiring in series/parralel/or bridged parralel. Go to either or crutchfield's learning center in order to figure out what your options are. Then you need to find out what ohm your subwoofers and what ohm your amp is stable at.

Rear deck speaker install

I'm assuming that you have left the original wiring intact? If this is the case then it's a pretty simple thing to do. There should only be 2 cables one for each speaker & each cable will have a positive & negative polarity. Once you have securely fixed the speakers into place (usually screwing into place through the mounting holes provided) you just need to attach the wires to the speakers. If your car has manufacturers plugs on & don't match the speaker ones (quite often the case now) simply cut them off & replace with spade connectors of the right type/size. The most important thing is to get the polarity the same way round for both speakers! If you get them reversed you will NOT get any bass. Also remember with any new speakers they need time to run in & sound their take it easy with the volume control for the first 20hrs or so of play if you want them to sound great & last longer!
