Timex automatic not winding

Hello!
I have just received a Timex Automatic Mens Watch -T2D941, from JOMASHOP-NY, and it is not working properly: the watch came with the rotor, that should self-wind it, totally released, in other words, it moves free without winding the watch.
Is this really a problem or I have to do something to connect the rotor back to the system? How to fix it?
