My Anama refrigerator is cold in the freezer area but even the with the themostat set on 7 (Max cool) the frig part is warm.
Not an old unit(alitlle over a year.
The ice maker has been a little strange lately only making ice sporadically.

OK I pulled things apart and found the coils in the freezer area to be solid with frost. I didn't find the defrost timer but did use a hair dryer to thaw the coils. once I did that and got the ice out of the duct. Things are working again. From what I've picked up the defrost timer, defrost heater coils, and defrost thermostat may be suspect. I'd like to find the timer as I suspect it myself.
My same issue - we purchased ours in Oct of 2005. Fridge isn't staying cool on any setting but freezer is fine. I do see a bit of frost building up on the freezer door...but plenty cool in the freezer.
Just additional clues..(general). The defrost timers (on non-electronic) usually located at the bottom (underneath), have a tendency to fail. (One of mine is in the center, one was on the left side) There are usually about 5 wires connected to it. If it fails while defrosting.. the fridge will warm quickly and stop cooling, if it fails in cooling mode, you will have the icing up problem. (other) A squealing noise is usually a fan motor. -also- (Freon issues)..as freon is lost from a small leak, first the freezer will actually get colder, but the refrigerator section may be too warm (I know it sound stupid). When enough is lost the compressor will get hot and the fridge will not cool.
