Real time clock loses time even while running off of AC. So, I don't believe it is a CMOS battery issue? The model is Toshiba A135 S2276 running Vista Home (32). Also, I have the dreaded self-assigned password issue so i can;t get into BIOS setup.
If you once take bios battery out the password issue will be reseted , the time zone of the date and time settings will changed , set the correct time zone first after that set the present timing, the time zone will be available in the time settings window itself , try it you can definitely fix it.
