Question about Dryers

Proline TDC7A Dryer (condenser)

Since moving the position of our proline condenser dryer in the kitchen we are having real problems with condensation?
We have a ceramic tiled floor which, when using the dryer is getting soaked. It didn't happen previously and I have checked that the water container is empty and the fins are not blocked. Anything else?

Have you checked the connections from the pump unit to the water receiver? There are several connections at the rear of the unit which take the water from the condenser, to the pump and then to the reservoir, could be a leak? Run the machine where you can see the rear and monitor it, something may become apparent. Hope this helps. Richard

Is my dryer a fire risk

The recall covers a long period of manufacture, from April 2004 through September 2015. But there are only two types of dryers affected - Condenser and vented types.

Here are links to the Hotpoint (they make Proline) safety page that may help you to ascertain whether your model is one of the ones affected by the recall.

I have a new (1 month old) Hotpoint Condenser Dryer (TCD980G). When it is on the drying cycle it runs for about 30 minutes and then trips the RCD circuit. I have cleaned the condenser filter and the water...

There should be no condensation present if it is a condenser dryer, this is the idea of it.
As for tripping the electrice, then it suggests to me that the steam could be the cause of the problem.
As it is a new dryer, then I would strongly advise you ring Hotpoint service, or ring the help line number in your instruction book.
You can contact them at the following address if needed.

My proline tdc6a dryer isnt getting warm

Hi,
If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....

If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

check out this electric no heat tip...

My heater isnt working on my Proline TDC7A tumble dryer I know there are 2 thermal cutout switches which may either need resetting or renewing but where do i find them ?

If you plan to try to repair the problem yourself, then the first thing you want to do is unplug the dryer from the electric.
Remove the back of the machine and try to locate the air tube going from the blower to the drum. Normally inside the air tube you will find the heating coil and the thermostats/thermistor.
You can check the thermostat/thermistor by removing the two wires and taping them together with electrical tape.
If the coil heats up then replace the thermostat/thermistor.
DO NOT LEAVE THE WIRES TAPED TOGETHER AFTER THE TEST. This could cause a fire, as you have removed the saftey of overheat from the machine.
Good Luck,
Hope this helps

I need advice on dryer for my kitchen.

This isn't an add its two different units that I have installed and are both condensation dryers. Which in my opinion is better for your needs and lacking venting.....LG and Miele also have 15 cycle so now the decision is what your needs and Budget. Prices range from 700-1500 but well worth the money. Bosch Axxis Condensation Dryer (model: WTMC8320US) you can machine-dry clothes without venting hot, moist air (or indeed any air at all). The Axxis Condensation Clothes Dryer condenses the moisture in the hot air to water and releases it through the water the need for ducting and a blower motor to help expel hot air. Ventless dryers make installation easy, fast, and very cost effective. And since little heat is lost when the air passes through the condensing chamber, it takes very little energy to raise the temperature back to optimal drying levels, thereby saving you energy. The Bosch Axxis ventless dryer features the unique DUO TRONIC system with 11 auto dry cycles that tailor the drying cycle to your clothing. And Bosch's exclusive DUO TRONIC system combines two moisture and three temperature sensors to automatically deliver precision drying. This machine virtually operates at the touch of a button to prevent over drying and damage to your clothes. With the stacking unit I think this is your best option due to keeping moisture, and later mold problems due too condensation. The Ariston Stackable Condensing Dryer ASL75CXSNA is the perfect choice for any home lacking venting capabilities and is the largest condenser dryer on the market, bringing the convenience of a compact laundry system to any home. Wrinkles are minimized with the innovative Pre and Post CreaseCare feature - periodically tumbling the clothing until you come back to remove it - and the handy Bidirectional Rotation of the stainless steel drying drum. Clothes gone musty from long closet stays can be quickly and easily refreshed with the ASL75CXSNA using the intuitive Air Fluff cycle, and the 12-hour Delay Timer allows for freshly-dried loads at your convenience.Key features include: spacious 16-pound load capacity; 180º reversible full metal door; removable lint filter; included stacking kit; Easy Iron option; and electronic Sensor Controls. The Ariston Stackable Condensing Dryer ASL75CXSNA has the high class, top performance, and compact convenience to be a welcome addition to any energy efficient home.Note: This item pairs with the matching Ariston Stackable Washers. I hope this was helpfull~ Have a good day

No heat from my tumble dryer

Presumably the motor and fan are working.
Check filter, and if it is vented with a hose, make sure it is not blocked with fluff. if all seems to be o/k, then the heating element is probably faulty.
Please leave good feedback if this helps with your problem

is it getting hot ? if not then its either the heating elements or thermostat. both available on espares. Most likely to be thermostats. If its heating then give the condensor a good clean. hope this helps.

Indesit condenser tumble dryer water light always on even though container empty

Maybe trapped water in the dryer. Switch off and remove power from wall. Remove condenser unit from the dryer (clean the condenser while you have the chance with plenty of water and an old toothbrush - it will probably be filthy). With the condenser unit removed stick an old tea towel in the hole where the condenser was and then tip the dryer on its side. If there is water it will either run onto the tea towel or onto your kitchen floor OR into the water container!

It worked for me, honest...
