Question about Cyberhome CH-DVD 300 DVD Player

DVD players not always beinvg able to load DVDs

I have a CyberHome CH-DVD 300 DVD player that usually cannot load discs. Some discs never work. Some discs work sometimes and don't work sometimes. This includes new discs.

I also have an AMU home theater system. Same problem, but not nearly as bad. Whacking the unit on the top sometimes helps.

Cds fine; dvds won't load

Most likely the DVD laser lens is dirty. Unplug the CH-DVD 300 from the wall outlet, wait 5 minutes, then remove the top cover. Next, remove the rectangular metal plate which covers the area where the CD or DVD disc would be when in the player's tray. Underneath the rectangular plate you should see two small lenses. Gently clean these lenses using ear swabs moistened with isopropyl alcohol. Reassemble the CH-DVD 300 in the reverse order that you disassembled it, plug it back into power, and now it should read your DVD discs just fine.

Not playing dvds but only trying to load with no success

I had same problem, I resolved by this way..
After opening cover , I found one ribbon wire was not moving freely,(That wire is connecting Lens), After stopping DVD, by hand I have done it free (for easy moving), After that it started working properly.

DVD stopped playing all DVDs

Reset you player by doing the following:
With the player on, hooked properly to your television, and on the correct station:
Open the tray
Close the tray (with no DVD inserted)
Hold the stop button down for a full 5 seconds
The CyberHome screen should appear. You should be able to play your dvd's now.
