User password for windows xp pro

I friend got a handme down pc from some one and when it starts up it goes to the login screen and ask for password and user name. Every one forgets the password. cant boot in to safe mode to clear the password. Its not the harddrive password

Use hiren boot software.
its a bootable software which u have to write on a cd and boot the pc using that cd.

MasterYou can't change the password or even break the security
still try this
but Administrator as user name and
dont put any password
if this doesn't work then u might have to format the drive using a bootable windows cd
