Sounds like your windows explorer isnt starting
Please press control + alt + delete, on the task manager click start new task..
Then type in explorer.exe
that should bring up your windows desktop for you.
If you have neither.. You may want to think about performing a factory restore..
You wont need any disk to perform a factory restore.
Simply shut off the computer, then press the power button..
!!!! As soon as you press the power button, start pressing the ALT key and the f10 key at the same time, repeatedly over and over again..
If you see the windows logon screen, the command didnt work and you need to try again..
If you get the command to process, it will take you to a screen where you can factory restore the acer..
Keep in mind this will erase all your personal files , photos, or music..
But if you cant get the computer ifxed any other way, at least this way the computer will run like new.

- If this didnt wok for you.. you may want to try a repair install of windows if you have a installation disk or a recovery cd..If you have neither.. You may want to think about performing a factory restore..
